WELCOME TO THE UNITED KARATE ASSOCIATION

UKA

Founded in 1987 by Sensei Ian Cuthbert along with two of his senior Instructors Sensei Dave Hogan and Sensei Nariman Jeddi . It became a member of Steve Rowes Shikon Karate organisation , and within a short time Sensei Ian took on the role of Shikon National Coach.

Since then the Shikon squad has become one of the most succesful competition squads on the WKF circuit.

UKA has clubs throughout the South of England which practice Wado Ryu , Shito Ryu and Shotokan

SHAOLIN MONK COMES TO TOWN

UKA had the privilege of a genuine Shaolin Monk giving a free demonstration course for the advanced students and Instructors at our main dojo in North Weald. He has now come and given several free courses for UKA.

Our very popular childrens classes are conducted in a safe and friendly atmosphere with a focus on fun and fitness.

Children receive the proper attention and perform tasks appropriate to their level of skill.

Parents and teachers constantly comment on the improvement of behaviour and attention levels of children who train regularly at UKA clubs.

COMPETITION

UKA are members of Shikon and Sensei Ian Cuthbert has been the Shikon national coach since joining in 1987.

The Shikon squad has come to be the number one WKF style squad over the last fifteen years.

Ian acts as English representative for Christophe Pinna and his Internationally renowned system.
